These periods of the year tell the story of the God and Godess as the earth turns.

Yule - 21st Decemeber.
Yule marks the Birth of the God by the Goddess, it is a time of the greatest darkness and has the shortest day of the year.
This also marks the point in the year when the sun is reborn. The Goddess rests through winter following the delivery of the God.
Imbolc - 2nd February.
Imbolc marks the recovery of the Goddess after giving brith to the God. The legnthening days of light wake her from her slumber.
Ostara - 21st March - Spring Equinox.
Ostara marks the beggining of spring. The Goddess covers the earth with fertliley as she bursts from her sleep.
The hours of day and night are now equal.
Beltane - 30th April.
Belatne marks the Young God reaching manhood. The God and the Goddess now fall in love and she falls pregenant by the god.
Midsummer - 21st June.
Midsummer is when the powers of nature are at their highest point. The earth is full of fertlilty from the Goddess and the God.
Lughnasadh - 1st August.
Lughnasadh is the time of the first harvest, the plants of spring start to wither and drop their seeds for future crops.
Mabon - 21st September - Autumn Equinox.
Mabon completes the harvest of Lughnasadh. Again day and night at equal. The God prepares to leave his physical body and travel to the unseen. The Goddess begins to wain in the weakening sun.
Samhain - 31st October.
At Samhain the Goddess says good bye to the Gos as he passes. The veil between the seen and unseen becomes thinner and the Goddess begins to ready herself for Yule and the rebirth.
